Lee's Kitchen Green Hills is a fine-dining Chinese restaurant specialising in authentic Chinese cuisine located in Stockland Green Hills Shopping Centre in East Maitland, New South Wales. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated chef to join our friendly team.
As a Chef, you will lead a small team and manage the kitchen on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will include:
• bringing creativity and ideas to design new dishes;
• utilising a wide range of Chinese cooking techniques and skills to cook high-quality dishes;
• organising food preparation, presentation, and allocating tasks to kitchen team members;
• monitoring inventory levels, controlling food costs, and minimising waste;
• collaborating with the restaurant manager to address issues;
• supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and providing training to new team members;
• ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining kitchen hygiene.
Requirements:
• a certificate IV in commercial cookery, diploma of hospitality management, or a related field is required;
• minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Chinese chef in a commercial kitchen;
• strong organisational and time management skills;
• bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred;
• ability to work under pressure, be passionate, proactive, responsible and reliable.
